Woooh!! been a great week on flex 3!
There is now a profiler as part of flex builder, so we will be able to track object instantiation and event listenerers, hopefully make tracking down memory leaks a hell of a lot easier! plus we are getting framework caching so we don't have to worry about the swf sizes anymore!

Ok the profiler basically lets you see how many objects are taking up space in memory. Sometimes you may have created new objects but through some reason you may have some references which is stopping the memory handler (garbage collecter) from deleting them. This is called a memory leak, which means that memory of the system can be used up on objects that might never be used. Therefore being able to see the objects that exist in memory can help you identify whats wrong, hope that helps!

In my opinion, with novice Flex skill, I don't understand much about 'Profiler'. I have been hear its before, but I still don't be sure about what is it for? may be you can explain me.
